Andrew Bryan Burnett, Partner

Andrew Bryan Burnett has over twenty-five years of experience in strategic business management, financial advisory services and venture capital. He has advised companies within several industries including: consumer electronics; food; tourism and hospitality; specialty retailing; radio broadcasting; electronic payments; franchise development; consumer information services; magazine publishing; and wireless telecommunications.

Mr. Burnett also served as financial adviser to the buyer of three divisions of a Fortune 500 company in a deal valued at over $50 million and with combined revenues of $130 million. His companies have advised New York area business such as the Harlem IHOP, Awkaaba Enterprises and Carol’s Daughter.

He has held executive-level positions in several of the companies he has advised including: Chief Operating Officer of a commercial printing firm, Chief Operating Officer of a SaaS billing company serving the deregulated energy market, Chief Information Officer for a database marketing company and CEO of a start-up urban marketing concern.

Mr. Burnett currently serves as Managing Director of The Accela Group, LLC. The Accela Group is a management consulting and strategic advisory firm that assists entrepreneurs to grow and run their businesses with wealth creation in mind. The firm’s service offerings include: mergers and acquisition, capital acquisition and strategic growth advisory services to startup and early stage enterprises. Prior to The Accela Group, Mr. Burnett served as Managing Director of Cathedral Consulting Group, LLC a national small business consulting concern where he was responsible for leading the New York office and its mergers and acquisition practice.

He has also held positions as the Chief Executive Officer of GodFirst Direct, LLC an electronic payments startup, Chief Executive Officer of MFB Communications, Inc., and is also the owner of the MyFathersBusiness.com website which is dedicated to providing resources for entrepreneurs who seek to partner with their faith in their businesses.

For five years, Mr. Burnett was the host of the My Father’s Business radio broadcast that aired each Saturday on WURD 900 AM in Philadelphia, PA The broadcast provided insights on how aspiring and existing entrepreneurs can use the principles of the Bible to run successful business enterprises.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from Syracuse University and a Master degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Entrepreneurial Management and Marketing from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Mr. Burnett has served as adjunct professor at Medgar Evers College, Baruch College and York College of City University of New York and the King’s College. He has taught undergraduate and graduate classes in the subject areas of business ethics, entrepreneurship, and marketing for the past nine years.

Mr. Burnett has previously served as a member of the Board of Advisors of the L.C. Smith College of Engineering and Computer Science at Syracuse University. He previously served as a member of the Board of Directors of Project Enterprise, a microlending non-profit organization that assists individuals for low-income areas throughout NYC to establish viable entrepreneurial ventures.
